A concert dedicated to 100th anniversary of well known Tajik composer Ziyodullo Shahidi. The concert is organized by the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow together with Farangis Nurulla and the saxophone quartet “Quasar” from Canada. It will feature the Four piano preludes of Ziyodullo Shahidi, arranged for sax quartet by Farangis Nurulla, as well as her piece Giuoco Piano for sax quartet. Other pieces by Canadian composer Claude Vivier and others will be performed.

Ravishi Nur (My father), a concerto for Saxophone and Sinfonietta, is finalist for the Andrey Petrov composers competition and will be performed in the Grand Hall of the St Petersburg Philharmonia on the 19th of September by Saint Petersburg Academic Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Arkady Steinlucht and featuring the soloist: Rolf-Erik Nystrom from Norway.
