Imaginary Worlds at the Vancouver Playhouse Theatre. Music can imagine new worlds and evoke the spirit of other times. Experience the Viennese Kaiser Waltz by Strauss, arranged by Schoenberg, folk music of Korean street markets (Unsuk Chin), Vancouver’s early Chinatown (arranged Mark Armanini), the melancholy world of Canadian composer Claude Vivier, and the premiere of Le jour ma nuit by featured Tajik/Canadian composer Farangis Nurulla-Khoja.
